Nuzlocke: ComplY Rules
MAJOR RULES TO FOLLOW:
1: If a pokemon faints, it is DEAD and will be RELEASED. If you have plans on reviving a dead pokemon (Look at Rule#4) Then place them in the Cemetery Box, and make sure they're never used again until resurrection requirements are met.
2: The first pokemon you see if the pokemon you get. You can NOT catch anything else on that route/cave/forest
The Duplicate Rule (or Dupes Rule): I the first PKMN you encounter is one you already have, you can skip over it
until you find a new one. If you fail to catch the new one, you're done with that area
Shiny pokemon are an exception as well, but will be put in the cemetery box to make sure it's not used (Unless
it is the first pokemon you find of course)
Areas where a pokemon swoops down from above are considered encounters, and can only be skipped if you
already have the Pokemon
A HORDE battle counts as an encounter, what you see being what you get. If two pokemon are there (ex:
Zangoose & Seviper, Touros & Miltank, Plusle & Minum) then you give a pokemon a heads, and the other a tails,
and flip a coin. If it's single Pokemon (Like Wingull) that you already have, you may skip over it until you get a
new Pokemon
3: All captured pokemon need a nickname
4: If you reaaaally want to, you can use one resurrection after obtaining all 8 badges, and it is the ONLY resurrection you can have
5: When you have no more party pokemon, and no more pokemon in your boxes, game over.
--:Rules to contribute to major rules:--
Fishing is an ENCOUNTER and what you see is what you get, but if you fished you can't Surf for it. Rock smashing

If you find a roaming legend, is does not count as an encounter
YVELTAL/XERNEAS (Xerneas for PKMN: X) Are an encounter, and can be used if you desire because of plot relevance
Gift PKMN/EGGS are legal to use, and don't count as encounters. FOSSILS also apply, except for Old Amber found in

PKMN that need trade evolution are perfectly fine, provided you get them back immediately after
Any pokemon you happen to find in the beginning of the game when you have not obtained your first Pokeballs are
not considered encounters
Trading with someone for an evolution item IS legal, provided you return the traded pokemon and receive your own

These are my rules for a Nuzlocke I'm going to run in PKMN Y!! :33 Man this seemed so easier in the beginning, but it's so stressful ;;v;; I only had to fight one trainer in the first Gym (which I was relieved for) but I'm sitting in front of the leader all paranoid because I only have three pokemon instead of four =7=;;
I'll update all that later though. Wish me luck :'3
They have Original Nuzlocke Rules, but I couldn't find them for X/Y so I edited them slightly. They should still work though
